Within the domain of Islamic and social studies our young learners discuss culture, geography, history and the ways of behaving in a society. The aim is to provide opportunities for students to develop the attitudes, skills and knowledge that will enable them to become engaged, active, informed and responsible citizens.

Islamic Studies

Understand that Allah has created everything
Learn basic manners in accordance with Islam
Learn basic Quranic Surah

Develop an appreciation of his/her various roles in society

Understand family structures and roles
Participate in class jobs & contributes to the class
Become aware of the roles, responsibilities & services provided by community workers

Develop a respect for differences in people

Identify similarities and differences among people
Demonstrate awareness and respect for culture

Develop geographic thinking

Identify common features in the home & school environment
Use & respond to indicate direction, position & size
